Super Dolls

Party Dolls
Looking back and reflecting on the last three and a half years of my life as a Frag Doll makes me light up inside. It brings feelings of passion, inspiration, and ambition.

The experiences I had, the relationships that were created, the knowledge and skills I’ve learned, the family that was established during my time as a Frag Doll made me who I am today; better, stronger, and more motivated than ever! The Frag Dolls and Ubisoft are and will always be the foundation on my path to becoming the best person I can be. Today the foundation has been completed and it’s now time for the next chapter in my career. Set in stone and ready for building upwards, furthering my pursuit for world domination; *evil laugh*. wink

Toilet Paper Dolls

The next chapter is here meaning I will sadly have to leave my fellow FD sisters and friends. The Frag Dolls, Cadettes, and Community have been a huge part of my life. During my time as a Frag Doll I have been honored with the chance to build lifelong relationships with some of the most amazing, creative, caring, passionate, and driven people one could wish for. You guys are like a family to me and I’m going to miss you so much. To my kickass Frag Doll Sisters, I love you girls! You all are seriously some of the most passionate women I have ever met and I hope you all continue to teach the world that anything is possible as long as they put their mind to it no matter your difference!

Even though I will no longer be on the team, I will be a part of the community! Once a Frag Doll always a Frag Doll is how I like to think of it: sisters for life!

Kicking Dolls

But wipe those tears away folks, as this is not good-bye… It’s just the beginning!

An amazing new adventure in Marketing and Sales lies ahead taking me to Rooster Teeth Productions in Austin, TX. Besides making magic happen, I will be working with the infamous Gus Sorola as the co-mastermind behind the ultimate birth of the new convention, Rooster Teeth Expo (RTX), bringing the intersection of games, entertainment, and online culture through Interaction, Identity, and Inspiration. See you there!

Go big or go home! And with that...I’m out!

Sharing the Love of a Childhood Adventure with Your Children Through
The Adventures of Tintin: The Game

phoenix and son
Growing up I was a huge Tintin fan; I read all the books, I fantasized
about going on adventures like he did, and so when I heard that not
just an animated movie but also a video game were being produced I was
super excited. I wanted to take the opportunity to introduce my son to
a little something from my childhood, so I let him take the controls.

From the start, The Adventures of Tintin: The Game was clearly faithful to the source material.
Tintin’s signature quiff of spiky strawberry blonde hair was a
familiar sight, my son quickly picked up the controls in charge of
Tintin, occasionally switching to control of his faithful dog Snowy
when the situation called for it. There’s quite a lot of comedy
violence, with Tintin performing wrestling throws on inattentive
guards, throwing items or smashing bad guys with vases, or resorting
to fisticuffs when necessary. The exploration is good, with big
environments and fun environmental puzzles to solve.

There are a lot of nods to a few of the books that I can remember,
specifically Red Rackham’s Treasure and of course Secret of the
Unicorn. My son was definitely getting into the story and enjoyed the
various interesting characters that he had to interact with.

There are a lot of unlockables and collectables, and taking after me
of course he had to do his best finding as much as he could. You can
buy new characters and special abilities like the ability to play as
“invisible Tintin”, or as one of the Thompson twins. There’s enough
here to keep you entertained for quite some time.

I made him let me join in, and so we tried some of the co-op play,
which involves exploring the dreams of Captain Haddock. A little
surreal, but very fun. Each character you can play as has different
abilities which you need to apply appropriately to progress.

We’re going to go and see the movie over Christmas, it’ll be
interesting to see how closely the two tie together! For now, we are off to take on Chapter 19.

Have you ever videotaped yourself while playing a video game? Well if you haven’t, you definitely should!! Why you ask? Because you will see yourself in a whole new comical light as I recently found out. Even more so if you are a rather animated person to begin with such as myself wink

Don’t believe me, well it just so happens that I have a lovely video filled with some pretty funny gaming faces I made while attempting the MW3 Spec Ops achievement, No Assistance Required.

So sit back, relax, and enjoy the many gaming faces of me, Phoenix…

Wow, this holiday season really came up quick. This is always a great time of year. There are more great video games than one persona can possible get through. Black Friday offers some of the best sales of the year. You don’t have to go to school or work for at least 72 hours and there is pumpkin pie to be had at almost every meal. What more could a girl want?

We have decided to indulge this year and milk every last vacation hour out of this holiday. There are a zillion video games we need to get to. So we are taking Thanksgiving off. We will see you all again next week. Until then, enjoy some of the things we are thankful for this year. Everyone have a wonderful THANKSGIVING!! smile

“We rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.”
Romans 5:3-4

This has been a crazy couple of months for me. I can now see light at the end of the tunnel. Looking back at all the crazy stuff that has happened I see so much I can be thankful for.

I’m thankful that I have a family that rallies when there is turmoil.

I am so thankful that those I love most are alive and able to share this holiday with me.

I am thankful for my new home and being able to provide a place for the people I love to come together and celebrate.

I am thankful for getting to spend quality time with my husband working through our Spec Ops missions and all the other games we have pilled up.

I am thankful for my son. He just learned to walk. When he takes each step he looks like a bear walking on its hind legs. He claps and laughs and it brings me so much joy and fills my heart with love.

Finally, I am thankful for having too many good games to get through… this is a great problem to have.

May you all have a blessed Thanksgiving Day! Make sure to take the time to tell those closest to you how much you love them. Life is too short. You will never get this moment back. Make the most of it.

I am most thankful for my friends and family. I love that my family is growing bigger every year. I am thankful for having little brothers who think their big sister is old, but cool. I am thankful for two beautiful step-daughters who are aging me daily. I am thankful for my niece and nephew, whose diapers I refuse to change. I am thankful for a loving family who supports me in every adventure I find along the way.

Sabre’s Thankful for...

There are so many things to be thankful for in life, and many of them come in very small packages – like video games, for example. Or my dog Kuma (who is the cutest and most adorable little dog/pig/walrus/rat/fox/bear ever). But aside from games and small furry creatures, I’m extremely thankful for my supportive friends and family, who put up with and sometimes even encourage my insane and near impossible dreams. I’m thankful for songs like Selisona Pi , which help me get through my day to day obligations, and I’m SUPER thankful for half-baked chocolate chip cookies. Like...extremely thankful.

And finally, I’m thankful for being a Cadette and becoming a Frag Doll, and having the opportunity to work with such passionate and unique women.

Happy Thanksgiving!

valkyrie In the words of Eminem, “I’m thankful for the talent in which God gave me and I’m thankful for the environment that he placed me.”

I’m thankful, yet frustrated, for all the amazing holiday launch titles coming out. I have lots of games to play and am being driven nuts by figuring out what to play first. That’s a good problem to have!

I am also extremely thankful for my teams (Frag Dolls & PMS Clan) that have offered me special friendships and camaraderie I will take through my life and have defined my life more than anything else thus far.

I am thankful for my family and sister (Athena Twin) who are my rock and base support for it all.

Finally, I am thankful for all of YOU that are part of our community and take the time to interact and support us!

Happy Turkey Day!

– Valkyrie

We would like to know what you are thankful for. Leave a comment and let us know after the jump. smile

Phoenix & Siren Invade Day 11 of Machinima’s 24hr MW3 Live Stream
Nov 21, 6:00 am

image

With the recent launch of MW3, the Machinima studios wanted to be the first to prestige all the way through but in style. So for 2 weeks, the entire Machinima office rotated employees and personalities in a 24/7 non-stop 15-Day MW3 live stream to do just that. On Day 11, myself, Siren, and fellow industry friend Max, joined the fun from 9pm-1am and let’s just say…crazy fun times were had. From puppet playing, to airsoft shooting, to killing folks online, we definitely gave viewers an entertaining show. A big thanks to Machinima for having us and don’t forget to check out the Day 11 Recap video of everything you might have missed. <3 Machinima!
