I often wondered why people who played Katamari were so weird. They would sit together and laugh about the joys of rolling up the Eiffel Tower, and they played odd soundtracks in their cars. I would sit aside and ponder how a game could make them seem so utterly mental - and of course I secretly desperately wanted to play it.

Unfortunately it was not always easy to come by. My local game shops didn’t seem to stock it, and as time rolled on I lost interest. But now it is back in the form of Beautiful Katamari, and now I too am experiencing the joy of making things into balls. How the tables have turned. It is no longer me overlooking a field of rolling obsessed weirdoes - now the weirdo is me!
