Interview: Video Games Live
Nov 19, 4:03 pm

Video Games Live™ is an immersive concert event featuring music from the most popular video games of all time.  Top orchestras & choirs perform along with exclusive video footage and music arrangements, synchronized lighting, solo performers, electronic percussionists, live action and unique interactive segments to create an explosive entertainment experience!

I heard of Video Games Live last year when it first graced the United States.  A video game concert seemed like a pretty bizarre idea at the time, but you couldn’t ignore the rave reviews it received.  One year on, it’s finally made its way over to our shores, with a performance at the Hammersmith Apollo in London on 25th of November.

I’ve been fortunate enough to chat with Jack Wall and Tommy Tallarico, the founders of Video Games Live, about what inspired them to create such a show.  Apologies for the poor sound quality - the guys were speaking from the lobby of a hotel in Sao Paulo, Brazil where they’re preparing for their next show.  I hope you’ll find their enthusiasm as infectious as I did.
