02 Wireless Festival Fun

“But you play RSV all the time!” I hear you exclaim. “Why the intense concentration now?” I hear you ask. It wasn’t just the new maps (we’re all about Neon Graveyard, by the way) The main reason for our intense focus and total lack of shoe interest was that there were prizes at stake! It was up to us to help the punters take out some terrorists. It’s amazing how tense the atmosphere can get when there’s the chance to take home a Rainbow Six Vegas mini-poker set. But you can’t buy these in the shops folks. You can’t even call a special number for one. It was all about taking down those tangos.
Some people came back over and over again to try to get their kill count high enough for the prize. People stood around watching and when it was down to a few bad guys we’d get shouts of encouragement and a huge cheer when it was all over. Some people even missed bands to play with us. What a time we had on Saturday! Last weekend was a mad extravaganza of shoe buying and jumping around like loonies to a wide variety of rock and/or roll at Download. This weekend at the 02 Wireless Festival in London’s Hyde Park, we barely looked up from the screen to see Daft Punk or the daft weather. While bands played and it rained, shined and thundered, Jam and I were deep in concentration playing the PS3 version of Rainbow Six Vegas with members of the public.
