Wheeeee! My first blog as a Frag Doll. I bet you’re on the edge of your seat. You ready? Okay, here goes.

Since the moment I became a Frag Doll I’ve had the biggest grin on my face. I look like I’ve been sleeping with a hanger in my mouth. It’s so great to be in a team with these girls. We’re all so different and yet so similar, know what I mean? We’re from all over. We have different backgrounds, hobbies and tastes but we all have the same passion for gaming .

Not that I’ve been starved of female gamer company. Both my sister, Tina and my mum are avid gamers. I trade burps with Tina on our headsets while playing Guild Wars and my mum regularly calls me at 1 o’clock in the morning sounding harassed, looking for me to print out a walkthrough for whatever RPG is driving her nuts.

Anyway, back to why my face hurts from grinning. First off: getting my own cartoon is übercool. I mean come on, who doesn’t want their own cartoon? Next up: hanging out with the girls coming up with ideas to promote girls in gaming and having loads of fun telling each other all our secrets. Wish I could tell you them… but I can’t… “on pain of death” apparently. It also means I now have two jobs that involve playing games as I’m also a games journalist for a number of magazines. Waaaa! So many games to play, so little time.

What’s really got me stoked though is the great reception we got at i25, Multiplay’s latest mammoth Lan party in Newbury. I, being a nice polite girl, hid my incredulity and admiration for the skill of the men in the Dance Dance Revolution Tournament - and the (1000 strong) gamers at i25, to their great credit, hid theirs at our Far Cry: Instincts skills, us winning the pub quiz and Sarin doing us proud in the boat race drinking game.
