Interview: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun!

When I first heard of Singstar I was immediately struck by the concept and what an intensely fun experience such a thing could be. Both gamers and non gamers alike were equally drawn to the idea of being able to competitively sing in a way that would be measured. The Singstar games have turned out to be everything anyone could have hoped for and have been a smash hit - so much so that they led directly to an increase in PS2 sales in Europe.

Paulina Bozek was a major driving force behind Singstar and has done such an incredible job of bringing the idea to fruition that she was honoured with the first ever BAFTA Interactive New Talent Award. Her desire to make gaming a more inclusive hobby and to bring more girls to gaming puts her up there as one of the Frag Dolls favourite people.
I was lucky enough to get a chat with her about her career, experiences and hopes for the future of Singstar.
