As usual I’ve been taking advantage of my Frag Doll privileges and playing Rainbow Six Vegas before it’s out here in the UK.
The first port of call was making my face for the multiplayer game. Luckily it was my birthday last week, and at the weekend I had some friends staying for my party. I say luckily because I, of course, couldn’t just stick the Xbox Live Vision camera infront of my face and press A. Oh no, I had to have a film set in my sitting room. Lighting was checked, camera men and directors were employed to help and of course full make up was applied. Every resource in the house was used. In the end up I looked pretty groovy in the 3D recreation of myself - except for one thing. Due to my vanity, I’d refused to keep my face still and insisted on smiling in my picture. The result is that I now look like some insane ‘perfume counter lady’ member of team Rainbow. I’m slightly worried that people won’t want to be in my squad now.
Because the game hasn’t been released in the UK yet, I’ve played little of the online multiplayer, despite all my efforts to look my best. I assure you I’ll be fragging away from next week though. I have to get my rank up toot-sweet so I can get some pink camo on my character - something specially put into the game for the Dolls. In fact, I recommend all gamers get themselves some pink camo. Then we’ll be like a big special pink Rainbow elite force!
As for the single player campaign, I’m not far into it but I am loving it. Frag Dolls are sometimes wrongly accused of bigging up Ubisoft games falsely. For the record, our opinion on games has always been our own, and nobody will make me promote something I don’t like - EVER. I can say with my hand on heart that Rainbow Six Vegas rocks. It is a truly brilliant and utterly absorbing game. Gush over!
Look forward to hunting down those terrorists with you all next week. Viva Vegas!
