Just in case it’s escaped your attention, I’ve recently been under instruction by those who train some of the most elite soldiers in the world. This is my bid to become a real life Ghost Recon “Ghost” for the upcoming Fuse event.
I know the notion of me of all people, a little tiny Glaswegian blonde girly type, becoming a hardened soldier is a bit comical - but that just made me all the more determined. Just as the notion of highly adept girl gamers is sometimes derided I like to buck the trend.
As many of you are aware there is a video forthcoming of my exploits training in the way of the Warfighter and trying to make an elite team of Ghosts but I thought I’d share some of my thoughts and experiences with you.
I was given a rough old time of it at Warfighters but I was back the next week to play ‘for fun’. When I say fun I mean stinging nettles in my face, mud and cow pats all over me and sore muscles for a week. I love it! You see, as well as training wee Scottish girls, Warfighters provide an amazing real-life game of Ghost Recon (without real ammo, of course), played out across the Northamptonshire countryside.
A teaser of my Warfighter exploits. More to come!

The Ghosts planning my mission
So keep ‘making believe’ folks and if you want to get up off the couch and make believe real hard then why not get together with some of your friends list and book a day out at Warfighters, or meet them at Fuse 06.
