Becoming Palindromic
Apr 24, 1:40 pm

Sounds scary, and maybe a little painful, but it wasn’t, in fact it was just like any other day! Those of you who visit the forum may have noticed that I have been a little absent of late, and those of you who don’t frequent the forum may care to hear my story anyway, so here goes:

Actually no, change of plan… my story is boring! All I have been doing is writing my thesis, that wonderful bit of work you have to do at the end of a degree. It’s pretty interesting stuff, but only if you’ve just spent four years studying proteins.  And, no, eating a steak once a week doesn’t count!

So to skip to a more interesting bit, it was my birthday on Saturday. Woooo. I am now 22, I have become a sophisticated and positive member of society and as such I got the following presents:

(enter slightly crazed picture of Sarin.. but nothing new there!)

  • A Soft Toy Hepatitis Virus.
  • Bottles of wine.
  • A Sparkly Blue DS.
  • Animal Crossing: Wild World.
  • Nintendogs.
  • A Rather Pink FLUK Tee Shirt (with my name on the back)
Yey, I feel so old and sophisticated now sitting about drinking wine, wearing pink, and playing with puppies (actually I think I might have de-evolved back to when I was 12, minus the wine of course!). I also went to the zoo as my birthday celebration. What could be better then fluffy animals lying about in the sun?? And I got to play my DS on the bus there!

My only downfall so far has been making the unfortunate mistake of switching off Animal Crossing without saving. When I next went back on I was lectured at length by a mole on how I had wasted their time, how easy it is to save, how lazy I was, and that he didn’t care if I was off playing other games as Animal Crossing is the only game in existence. Maybe I should introduce the mole to Ghost Recon, he’d soon see that there is more to life than being really rather cute!

And speaking of Ghost Recon, Battle of the Dolls is now over. Team Sarin managed to pull one win in the league matches, securing us in third place and a place to fight against team Kitt for mystery prizes! If you want to know how all the matches went in a little bit more detail check out Xboxgamezone for the latest Team Sarin update! They have a friendly forum and even their own GRAW tournament going on - so have look around.

So University is nearly at an end for me, summer is fast approaching and I have a new portable gaming toy. Life is good, and Sarin is happy.
