All this last week I’ve been spotted fiddling with iPhone in hand, all because I heard about a free new game from the iTunes appstore.  The app is called Bubble Melody and it came out this month on the iPhone, iPad and iTouch. The premise is about as simple as the game sounds; you’re popping bubbles. Being presented with different actions to take when certain bubbles coming at you and having to react quickly keep the game interesting. The devs at Daredevil Development are infamous for keeping their identities and location a secret, as they want their games to speak for themselves. This particular title of theirs features adorable graphics and provides endless levels of fun easy-to-pick-up gameplay for free! While playing, you have to be sure to pop every single bubble that floats from right to left. Each bubble that pops emits a flurry of musical notes. For every one of them you let pass by and fail to pop, you lose a heart. You only have five hearts total. You can gain one back by collecting the eight cute animals in the game. After you pop their bubble prison and free them, quickly tap and ‘catch’ the animal again to score more points! Sarah Oliver, who goes by the alias ‘Glitch,’ has been playing games since she was but a babe of six years of age- spending her days playing Super Mario Bros on her daycare’s NES. Unsatisfied with not yet having gotten some video games to call her own, she cut off Barbie Doll heads on birthdays, Christmas, and all other gift-giving holidays. After two arduous years of this, she finally got the point across to her parents and received her first GameBoy on her 8th birthday. She’s established it as a tradition to plead for the latest console or handheld system every year ever since.

Growing up, Glitch rushed home from school to get to her games, and spent her weekends getting lost in the lands of the latest Mario, Zelda, Star Wars, Final Fantasy, and Pokémon games. She has always gravitated toward geek culture. She started stumbling around the net, posting in game forums, and chilling in chat rooms in 6th grade. Around then she started delving into anime, manga, and admiring all things Japanese. She also loves music, Star Wars, candy, steampunk, and comic books. You’d be hard pressed to find her NOT goofing off… Her demeanor is whimsical, laid-back, and she’s infamous for being a smartass. She thinks the world would be much more magnificent if Tim Burton conceptualized it and/or it took place in a sci-fi or fantasy setting.

In addition to her aforementioned affinities, Glitch has great passion for art. She likes to draw, paint, and fasten together random crap into some semblance of ‘art.’ Currently, she is attempting to acclimate herself with digital mediums. She has done her fair handful of pixel-y drawings in MS Paint of Frag Doll community members and various other subjects. Now she is trying to level up her digital art skill by learning how to touch up her hand-drawn artwork and create strictly digital designs in Photoshop. Glitch intends to use her wild imagination & artistic talent as tools for the Frag Doll team- desiring to compose artwork and comics involving the Frag Dolls, Cadettes, the community, and characters from beloved video games & the like.
